Traditional play time before heading back home after a walk

This is the yard beside our house which is Beethoven's favorite place to play and avoid going back home. Every time we walk him, on the way back home he "insists" until we take him to the yard. Once there, it's always the same fun ritual: he runs in circles, chases and is chased. After some time, he lays down as if he was tired. In fact, he does that to provoke me given that I'm the one who's tired. And I, of course, cannot resist. After playing a lot, we both go home exhausted and happy.

Swimming on dog pool day.. or trying to!

Every year, on the last day of the pool season, my community holds the dog swim day. It's actually just one hour but it's a lot of fun. All dogs from the neighborhood show up to play. Beethoven is not a swimmer. He actually does not like much water so we have to give him a little "push". He did quite well for a Lhasa Apso and made us very proud :)
